Baby Benjamin Gets Blessed

Larry and I traveled to Queen Creek, AZ on Friday and Saturday, arriving at Tyler and Carrie's house about noon. We had lots of fun playing with the kids. About 3:00 pm Carrie, Benjamin, and I went to Carrie's Grandma Hall's house to watch the LDS Women's Conference with Carrie's cousins. Her mom and dad had also come from California for the weekend and were at Grandman Hall's house. One of Carrie's cousins, had a baby 4 days after Carrie had Benjamin, and they were also there. It was unbelievable to see the difference in their sizes. Her cousin's baby, Alena, was 4 weeks premature and only weighed a little over 4 pounds. She is now 6 pounds. Benjamin was 9 lbs. at birth and 11 lbs. 2 oz now. I took some pictures and will post them when I return to Texas and get them uploaded onto my computer. You would never guess that they are only 4 days apart in their ages.

Today, Sunday, we all went to church and were able to witness the blessing of Benjamin Wallace Allen, the 5 week old son of Carrie and Tyler, our 31st grandchild. He is so sweet. His brother's and sister love him and love to hold him and kiss him. We came home and had a nice lunch after church with Carrie's parents and Grandma Hall.

After dinner I had a great time reading stories to the older kids, then I got to spend a little time with the twins, Alex and Andy as they fell asleep. I love spending time with my grandchildren. It's the best!!
