Swimming with Granddaughters
The kids all got out of school mid-day today because of the impending Hurricane Ike, which is bearing down on the eastern coast of Texas at about 13 miles per hour. After they watched a movie, some of them went home, but three of them decided to go to the Spectrum Health Club with me to go swimming. I have a membership there and go several times a week to exercise. On Friday's between noon and 5 they have family swim time. Hannah, Monah and Dru came with me and we had fun swimming and walking back and forth in our lane of the pool. I started having charlie horses in my feet and I was complaining to the kids about it. They could feel on the top of my foot where the muscle was constricting and they found it curious. After we swam a bit longer, Hannah came up to me and asked if I still had Charlie Brown. I couldn't figure out what she was talking about and she said, "You know, in your foot." I realized she had just used the wrong word. I had a good laugh about it.
