Day with the family
After attending church at the Arvada 2nd Ward and visiting with all of our friends, we came back to Jay and Alicia's house where everyone came over for dinner and visiting. Mario and Jim weren't able to come, but everyone else was here. We had a great barbeque, frog eye salad, green salad, and all the condiments. We even had grandpa Allen's famous lemon vanilla ice cream which was accompanied with cupcakes. The kids had such a great time playing with each other. They jumped on the trampoline, played in the sandbox, swang on the horse swing that is tied to the big tree in the yard, and rode the "kid jeep" around the big yard. For the most part I have to say the kids got along quite well and had lots of fun. Jay also brought out his two green tree pythons to show off. Jackson showed us his spotted red bellied toad and Devan showed off his leopard gecko. Hannah, Devan and Kathryn created a "habitat" for the lizard in the sandbox. When they were through they put the lizard in the pond they had created, which had a two inch high sand wall all the way around it. They wanted to see the lizard try to get out and destroy the wall. I was able to take a video of it which I will attempt to put on the website tomorrow. Later, some of the older girls, along with Emily, created a skit to a song that Cassie had on her phone. They put on the skit for us before everyone left. I will also attempt to put that on the website tomorrow. I was able to take lots of great pictures of everyone which I will also post.
