Great Week in Denver

The week we spent in Denver was great! For the most part the kids all got along well. Hannah spent several days at Marci and Bob's apartment playing with Kathryn. Dru and Cassie spent a couple of days at the Jacob's helping out with the kids and enjoying their cousins. Rissie stayed at the Allen's and helped Sarah and Grandpa take care of the kids on Wednesday night, while Jay Alicia and Aldine attended the CXO VIP Reception that was held at the Anheuser-Busch Visitor's Center in Fort Collins. There was a great turnout for the event. About 80 new people from the Northern Colorado area came for the first time and learned about CXO. It should boost the number in the organization and be a great asset to CXO. The response was tremendous. I am very proud of the work that Jay is doing to bring the business people together along the Front Range for the good of all. One night Larry and I went to dinner with a few of our long-time friends in Arvada. It was great to catch up with them and their families.

Thursday afternoon we went to spend some time with the Jacobs' Family. After eating a Birthday dinner for Elena, the kids and Jim had a great time playing Croquet on the front lawn. It was fun to watch them as they tried to figure out how hard to hit the ball to make it go where it was supposed to go. All in all I would have to say that everyone had a great time.

We had decided previously to offer to take Kathryn back to Texas with us and then to fly her home after a week. On our return trip we had a full car with five granddaughters and grandma and grandpa. The first leg coming home was a very long day, as we wanted to get back to Texas early enough the next day to be able to attend the Eagle Court of Awards for Ammon Gruwell. We made it in plenty of time. It was a successful trip.
